Oxygen manufacturing is the process of converting air into oxygen gas (and sometimes also hydrogen). The process has an oxidation chamber in place to convert air into oxygen gas. Oxygen is important to our existence because it is an element that is found in living cells (red blood cells, haemoglobin) and in some other non-bacterial species. It plays a role in respiration by converting water into carbon dioxide (an exhaust gas). Types of Oxygen Manufacturing There are three major types of oxygen production processes. Oxygen is used in chemical reaction catalysts and in aerobic respiration. Oxygen is used in aerobic respiration in which it combines with an existing air molecule to form an energy source. This is the most commonly occurring process in aerobic respiration.
